artHouse Story: The Cool Toned Home

This is an understated home designed for expats moving back to India from a very hot country. This home is a combination of monochrome colours infused with pops of colours and is a reflection of their desire for 'coolness' in the spaces.

The clients brought a lot of their existing art into this new home, which greatly informed our design.

The living, dining and bar area have deep tones of burgundy that bring depth and harmony with the light veneer and gold accents used in the space.

The space has sensible and thoughtful seating, storage and lighting, making it functional in it's use.

The master bedroom is spacious with lots of light coming in. The printed curtains break from the solid colours and add warmth to the room.

The son's bedroom: A deep prussian blue contrasted with the off-white veneer is understated yet bold.

The light streaming into the room makes it feel nautical.

The room has more storage than you can guess and makes it perfect for someone who has a lot of stuff!

This room is multi-purpose, used as an office space and as a bedroom. Designing a murphy bed allowed the room to look spacious.

For a room that is dynamic in its form and use, the blue glass and off-white veneer brings calmness and stillness.
